This blood is useful for zombies as the thickness of the peanut butter represents flesh. The disadvantage to this is that if the crunchy peanut butter isn't mixed with the food colouring properly, the peanuts are obvious in the mixture.
How we made it:
Smooth or Chunky peanut butter
(Chunky adds a coagulated look)
Corn Syrup
Red food dye
Add chocolate sauce to make it darker.
Realistic Blood (Edible)
This blood looks the most realistic out of all of the blood types. The consistency, splatter and colour are all good. This is the best option for everyone. The colour is dark so it looks good.
How we made it:
Corn Syrup
Warm Water
Corn Starch
Red/Green/Yellow food dye
Powdered Cocoa
Gravy Blood (Edible) This blood is too light but the consistency and splatter were good on clothing. As you can see on the picture, when the blood is on the skin it is quite light so it's not very good blood consistency.
How we made it:
Gravy Granules
Red food dye
HOT water..
Chocolate Fake Blood (Edible)
This fake blood was edible and the consistency means that it falls well when dribbled out of someones mouth. The colour is good, however a little too bright so more cocoa powder could be added.
How we made it:
Warm water
Corn syrup
Powdered cocoa
Red food dye
A good splatter pattern
The chocolate fake blood also makes a good splatter pattern due to it's consistency.
Cheap Washing-Up Blood
This blood is useful when you need lots of blood to throw at walls and at people. The advantage of this is that the consistency looks similar to real blood. However, the disadvantage is that when mixed with water, it will quickly start to bubble so we would need to be careful when using it. Also after it drys it doesn't not look like real blood. How we made it:
Cheap Washing up liquid
Red food dye
Simple Fake Blood (Edible)
This blood had the wrong consistency as it was too watery. Also, it could not be used as blood from an injury due to its colour and consistency. However, it would be most useful as blood from the mouth. Despite the taste.
How we made it:
Corn syrup
Red food dye
Milk
Peppermint Blood (Edible)
This blood isn't too bright due to the mixture of the red and green food colouring. Also, the consistency is very watery meaning that it is good to spit out.
How we made it:
Corn syrup
Water
Corn starch
Red/green food dye
Peppermint extract (optional)
Tomato Ketchup (Edible)
The consistency of this blood was good as it dripped and splattered well. However, the colour was too bright due to the colour of the ketchup and red food dye. How we made it:
Ketchup
Water
Red food dye
Corn syrup
Make sure to mix the concoction well and add water to make it more runny and add more, for example... add corn syrup to increase the texture of it and making it more viscous.
